Operation Nancy Drew

My age was the era of pocketbooks, like the real deal books. Sweet Valley High, Hardy Boys, Goosebumps and of course Nancy Drew. For some reason Nancy Drew was my childhood and teenage years must-have, doesn't matter if I don't eat or have new clothes as long as I get to read at least 1 book every week. I've been sick for 3days now, so I decided to hit up the nearest bookstore to find a Nancy Drew book that I haven't read yet.

Surprisingly there are so many Nancy Drew books. I don't know when this books came out

Sophie's mom

I remember that old song "stacy's mom"

But this time, i'm in love with Sophie's mom, many of you may have heard of Sophie's mom and their awesome pastries and desserts. I went to their new store last sunday at San Antonio Village. It's near my friends house so I figured it would be easy to locate. It's also a tryc away from shopwise.

The store design was really cute, though i'm not a big fan of pink, it looked good and clean for a pastry shop. The design and display was really pink and girly too.

Desserts and sweets are my guilty pleasure so I wouldn't mind traveling to taste this delectable goodies.

Everything at Sophie's mom is divine, even their bread.

I tried their spanish bread and the filling tasted like leche flan.

Stuff you gotta try:

strawberries and cream/frozen brazo mochi

stookies (oreo stuffed cookies)

nutella truffle mochi

it was a little hard to eat coz duh, its frozen but it's really good.

It was the best cookies I ever tasted, the dough was nice and moist and the oreo cookies inside added sweetness and spunk to it. Plus, the serving is pretty big too!

The taste is strong and the nutella added too much love to it.

shot me right through my skin

I'm done with two cervical cancer shots and a few more weeks for the last one.

I'm encouraging you all to have yours too, seldom that it happens that you can protect yourself with certain diseases. I had people close to my heart that is battling and battled with Cancer, and it is one messy fight.

The shot is an IM, meaning intra-Muscular. I'm no medical person but it means they shot through your muscle and the fluid forms a blob and from there the body absorbs it.

It was painful at first and then it becomes numb. Mine hurt for about a week.

I am not trying to scare you all but of course, practically speaking, it's an injection of course it hurts. Hahaha!

don't worry, you'll be okay.:)

Tax my blog

I have a numerous amount of blogger friends, oftentimes, they give away free stuff to their loyal readers. I have tried it three times, and like other bloggers, we do it to share and to thank people for reading our online posts.

There are millions of blogs out there, and if it'll be taxed, where is the money going?

Anyways, there are so many things that the government can get money from. Why the blog-o-sphere? For one, the web is a free zone where anyone can find anything and say everything they want. What we really need now is more laws to protect us from online crimes, not another reason to squish out money from our pockets. And why do we need to pay for things that we own and just want to give away. We own the stuff we give away. When we buy it on the stores, we pay tax for it. When the manufacturer make their products, they pay tax for it. So now we want to give away something, and we need to pay tax for it? again?

Feels like a homecoming

so some of you might saw my twitter overload for PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Association).

Coz yes, after a long time, i'm coming back.

Here's the scoop, I got tickets from Jellybean, they are co-presenting the CAREDIVAS play.

Caredivas is a musical dramedy produced by Divine Lee (i suppose, the queen of the beckys).

for the event. (Bakit dati pag nagtTeatro tayo nakashorts and slippers lang tayo)

Creole asked us to have a photo taken on the wall, I wasn't prepared for this. seriously.

I didn't have my camera that day so I had to settle with my Samsung and HTC phone, most picture taking are for the before show coz ethics-wise, cameras are not really allowed on theaters, video or stills. Thats the beauty of it, you can only recall em in your mind. The beauty and the music.
