TAB you're it!

2011 is definitely the year of the Tablets, thank you to Apple that brought this wonder on the techieverse.
So yes, after notebooks and netbooks come the Tablets. Easier to handle, carry around, wireless and in-style.
Maybe not everyone has a tablet but who wouldn't want one?

There are too many tablets on the market right now and it's hard to keep up on what's the best. So here's the low down on some tablets in the market and what makes them "pop!".

iPad 2

  • Thinner and Lighter
  • Dual-core A5 chip
  • Awesome graphics
  • Long battery life
  • Dual-camera
  • LED Backlit
  • Multi-touch
  • IOS 4
So yes, that's some high-tech capabilities of the iPad2 (yes it's from the Apple site). It is the mother of the tablets so we expect more specialty in it and more innovation considering this is the second generation iPad. Most people has this than of others. People says it's worth the money because it's from Apple. Meaning it has really good quality and in a reasonable price. Most of my friends will settle for an iPad than a netbook, even I would settle for this.

LG Optimus Pad
  • Dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 1.0GHz processor
  • 8.9-inch display, multi-touch @ 1280×768 pixels
  • 32GB internal storage
  • Two 5MP camera
  • 3G/HSDPA
  • WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
  • GPS
  • Bluetooth
  • HDMI port
  • Android 3.0 Honeycomb
Ok, actually I want this one just because I'm in love with the 5MP camera (beating the dual camera of the iPad2). And for a media worm like me, the 720 HD video recording is amazement at it's best.

Samsung Galaxy Tab P7100
  • 1 Ghz Dual Core Tegra 2 CPU
  • 10.1 inch 1280×800 WXGA screen
  • 16GB/32Gb internal storage
  • 8 megapixel camera
  • record FullHD 1080p video
  • 2 megapixel front-facing camera
  • WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
  • Bluetooth
  • 3G/HSDPA
  • 6850 mAh battery
  • Android 3.0 Honeycomb
It's nice to have a tablet that runs on Android, from a android lover like me it is way easier to download apps and add-ons. Whats not nice is that it is really expensive. iPad costs around 20,000-25,000php while the Samsung tab costs 30,000-35,000. Way more expensive than of Apples. Motorola Xoom

___

HP TouchPad
  • 9.7-inch XGA capacitive, multitouch screen with a vibrant 18-bit color, 1024x768 resolution display
  • Front-facing 1.3-megapixel webcam for live video calling4
  • Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n with WPA, WPA2, WEP, 802.1X authentication;Bluetooth® wireless technology 2.1 + EDR with A2DP stereo Bluetooth support
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-CPU APQ8060 1.2GHz
___

Motorola Xoom
  • Android 3.1 Honeycomb
  • 5 MP camera
  • WiFi 802.11 a, b, g, n
So obviously, I don't have much knowledge in the Motorola Xoom. Apparently, like their phones, it's a little complicated. Good thing though, it runs on the Android honeycomb!:)
